Two roles
- Businesses that use Flueprint. A business enters its own clients and properties into Flueprint. For that information the business decides why and how it is used, and we process it on the business's behalf. If you are a client of a business and want to see, correct or delete your information, ask that business first. We will help them to do it.
- Our own information. We decide how we use the details of the people who sign up for Flueprint, who contact us, and who use our websites and apps.
What information is used
- Names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses of clients and tenants.
- Details of the visit or job: what it is for, the date and time window, and any photos a client chooses to attach.
- Gas safety and service records, certificates, invoices and the dates they fall due.
- For people booking online: the device type and IP address, so the business can confirm a booking really came from you.
- For businesses that sign up: contact details, business details and billing information.
Why it is used
- To book, confirm and carry out visits, and to keep records the law requires gas businesses to keep.
- To send reminders that a certificate or service is due.
- To run, secure and improve Flueprint.
Messages by email, text and WhatsApp
When you book with a business, or are a client of one, that business may use Flueprint to send you a confirmation or a reminder by email, text or WhatsApp. The message is sent in the business's name. We send WhatsApp messages through the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta, which handles them under its own terms. Your phone number and the message are passed to Meta to deliver it.
You can reply to any message. To stop receiving messages, say so in a reply or tell the business, and they will stop. You will not be added to marketing lists by us.
Who we share it with
- The business that holds your information.
- Service providers that help us run Flueprint: Google (Firebase) for hosting and storage, Meta (WhatsApp) for messages, and email and text providers.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
We do not sell personal information.
How long it is kept
For as long as the business keeps its account and the law requires records to be kept, for example gas safety records. A business can ask us to delete its data when it leaves.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, to restrict or object to its use, or to move it. Contact the business you dealt with, or write to hi@flueprint.app. If you are not happy with the answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Website visit counts
On flueprint.app we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read, so we can improve the site. It records the page, the time, the type of device and a rough location; Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. It sets two cookies (_ga and _ga_...) that last up to two years. We do not use it for adverts and we do not sell the data; Google processes it for us. Booking keys and other codes in web addresses are removed before anything is recorded. The first time you visit you see a small notice: press Turn off there, or .

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top.
